These exceptionally soft alpaca blankets are the perfect size for keeping cozy. Sourced near the Cochabamba Valley in Bolivia, yarn from alpaca fiber is hand woven on wooden looms into herringbone and diamond patterns using traditional techniques. Each meticulously crafted blanket takes up to a week to create.

Sonia Roja and her family have been master weavers for generations, creating alpaca shawls, throws and blankets in sumptuous colors and to exacting quality standards Tarata, the town where they live in the Cochabamba Valley, is known for weaving. They still follow the textile patterns, and use the wooden looms, built by Sonia’s forebears. Sonia’s offspring are continuing in the family business.
