This hammered metal frame represents an embossing technique known throughout South America. The elegant metalwork embodies a mix of indigenous metal craft with Spanish influence. The leaf design has roots in both indigenous and Spanish cultures. All frames can be used either horizontally or vertically and can stand by themselves or hang on a wall. Glass insert made in the USA.

About the Artisan Group
The San Miguel metal smiths and wood carvers in Cochabamba are experts at crafting these Colonial frames from Bolivian metals and the local « cedro » wood. The craftsmen use age old techniques to engrave and shape the metal and carve traditional leaf designs into the frames.
